Inspiration: from Russia, with Love

So, I’m all about inspiration this week as I continue to gear up for a week of marathon invite designing! I really admire Rodchenko and Russian Constructivism of the 1920s and have been sifting through a lot of images to inspire me…

And, remember the Shepard Fairey bags from the Spring season? A lot of people gave Fairey and Saks a lot of flak, but I think the senior VP of Marketing at Saks put it best when he said: “What we do every day, really, is propaganda.”

    I mean, these designs are pretty amazing. You dig up some pretty interesting work…it reminds me of design classes in college, and I really miss that, so thank you:) PS: I didn’t know we shared the same bday…no wonder I think you and your work are such genius!! Happy belated!
