From my job at New American Paintings and my nightly internet surfing and
blogging I have a pretty wide view of the zeitgeist of current trends. For a while
it was all about faux naïve, kitsch and lots of wildlife (especially creatures with
antlers for some reason) but lately I’ve noticed a big trend towards rainbows.

What is causing this? Perhaps a renewed interest in the 70s? Hopefulness about the economy? The two actually have a connection as the last time our economy was this bad was in the mid-70s, so perhaps that is our answer…Anyone have ideas?
