Artists for Humanity

14Jan10

Thanks to my friend Stephanie, owner of Walker Contemporary, I’ve gotten myself involved in this year’s host committee for the annual Artists for Humanity Greatest Party on Earth. I have to admit I was initially intrigued by such a weighted event title, but after tonight’s first meeting and learning more about the organization I am truly excited to be a part of it. It is an amazing organization that “offers underserved youth with the keys to self-sufficiency through paid employment in the arts.” Check out the finalist for the Merida rug competition. I am so impressed.
