I was reminded today of the work of the late Anton Stankowski. A pioneer of Constructive Graphic Art, his creations were always so simple, yet perfect. He also often utilized the Univers font family which has always been one of my favorites. Images via David the Designer

Font: Shand
I love this font created by Sam Shand. Self-described as a “neo-cursive, sans serif font.” I especially like the creative handling of the ligatures. Tip via Share Some Candy.

Taschen recently released A Visual History of Typeface & Graphic Styles 1628-1900. The book was edited by the late Jan Tholenaar, a Dutch bibliophile who adored ornamental metal type. Beantown Font Scandal…
On Tuesday, NBC was served with a lawsuit from the country’s leading typographic design firm, The Font Bureau, Inc.
